I met Al Goldstein, the publisher of Screw magazine, at a gym in Durham NC. He had a much younger woman with him who looked good but used THE FOULEST casual language I’d ever heard.

I stepped on the back of Charles Barkley’s shoe once. He turned around and looked at me, then laughed (nicely) at the look on my face as he saw it register with me that not only was this guy huge he was Charles Barkley. I said “aughnfx” and we parted strangers.

I checked out books to Michael Jordan, Sam Perkins, and James Worthy (separately) while working at the undergrad library at UNC.
